Edible Plants

While salad vegetables are commonly available from the supermarket, it is now widely accepted that these are not ideal due to the types of plants and their nutritional and fibre content and that in fact wild plants are much better.

Each plant has been grown specifically for use as a feeder plant. They are grown organically, without the use of pesticides or fertilizers. We have chosen this initial range from the types that we found were most accepted by testing them on our own reptiles.

Although we tested them for use with reptiles they can also be used with mammals and birds

Our current range of edible plants includes:
  • Callisia repens
  • Dandelion
  • Plantain
  • Red Sorrel – Red Pixie
  • Self Heal – Prunella vulg
